The green path at the 12th AIO International Congress in Chia Sardegna, Italy from June 8th-10th will be dedicated to conservative and esthetic dentistry offering participants up to 18 ADA CERP credits.
It all begins on the morning of Friday June 9th with a keynote lecture from the creators of Style Italiano. Angelo Putignano, professor of restorative dentistry at the Polytechnic University of the Marche Dental School and founding member of Style Italiano will review the use of composites over the last 30 years together with Valter Devoto, visiting professor in Esthetic Reconstructive Dentistry at the Universitè de la Mediterranèe in Marseille, France.

Next up to the podium will be Perrine Ballard from France. She perfected her skills in New York from 2008 to 2011 focusing on the use of digital analysis and adhesive dentistry. Her lecture will explore the critical ‘pink’ interface and how to combine restorative with periodontal plastic surgery to optimize the results of esthetic treatments.
Stefan Koubi, founder of the Institut de la Facette in 2012 in Marseille France, a private training center focused on smile design, will discuss how to obtain optimal esthetic results with veneers that mimic nature, based on materials, thickness of the preparation, choice of resin cement or color of the supporting dentition.
Immediately after the break, Sara Laface, member of the Italian Academy of Endodontics, the Italian Academy of Conservative Dentistry and of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP) will take the stage with a lecture entitled “How to achieve success by exploiting three unrelated worlds : Bleaching, Fragrances and Social Media”.

Closing the session Margarida Henrique, co-author of the book “Veneers” (published by Quintessenza) with a lecture on “Practical aspects of smile planning: color, shape and characterizations”, will explain how to restore not only the esthetics, but also the biology based on parameters such as the basic anatomy of the anterior tooth, the alignment and position of the teeth in the arch, the color and the intra-oral criteria that define an esthetic smile.
In the afternoon, the lecture hall will be divided into four corners where a maximum of 80 participants (20 per corner) can, in rotation, learn and discuss the use instruments and materials with the speakers. In addition live demos of 30 minutes each will be presented. Topics: use of Optishade for color, diastema closure treatment, the use of social media … and much more.
