Modern dentistry increasingly uses integrated rehabilitation procedures, an indispensable skill today both in simple and above all in complex cases.
Thanks to the interdisciplinary nature of the treatment, the patient can obtain results that would otherwise be unattainable by individual traditional procedures: all the members of the Team must share common possibilities, limits, purposes.
New digital orthodontic technologies (intraoral scanning, digital orthodontic set-up, CBCT and Digital Smile Design) can facilitate the three-dimensional design of interdisciplinary treatments.
Digital pre-visualization (DSD) helps in the initial phase of setting up the treatment plan and provides useful elements in the final restorative phase by guiding waxing and mock-ups with definition of the final shapes based on aesthetic and functional evaluations. The final restorative phase will then follow which can be completed with direct layered restorations, injection techniques, veneers, single-wing maryland.
The aim of this day will be to share the know-how of the 2 speakers who will illustrate the State-of the-Art in orthodontic and restorative rehabilitations, starting from simple cases up to the most complex ones.
Program
o Direct techniques in layered composite
o Injection molding technique
o Maryland single fin (RBFPD resin bonded fixed partial dentures)
o Ceramic laminate veneers
Interdisciplinary planning of periodontally guided tooth movement in the patient without loss of attachment. In adult patients, orthodontic treatment can increase the risk of gum recession. For this reason, an interdisciplinary approach between dentist and orthodontist is essential to evaluate periodontal health, gingival phenotype and type of tooth movement, reducing the risk of long-term recessions.
Interdisciplinary planning of periodontally guided tooth movement in patients with attachment loss. In patients with advanced periodontitis, tooth migration often causes malocclusions that require interdisciplinary intervention. The report highlights the importance of an integrated “ortho-perio-prosthetic” flow to facilitate prosthetic restorations and place implants, thus ensuring the success and durability of results, as demonstrated by 25 years of experience and studies on over 50 patients.
Anyone who “uses the voice” in a professional or amateur way: singers, speakers, voice actors, etc.,
requires an adequate neuromuscular balance of the masticatory muscles and the entire district
cranio-cervico-mandibular. If the muscles of this district stiffen too much, it is known that they significantly affect the correct functioning of the pharyngo-laryngeal system and the vocal tract and consequently can also influence the emission of the voice and expressive singing performances. Therefore vocal performers and singers need an adequate balance of the muscles of this entire district. After many years of studies and clinical research, the BITE REPAIR Lingual Ring was created precisely to provide those who “use the voice” with an easy, versatile, comfortable support tool both for relaxing and deconditioning all tensions, and for carrying out specific exercises and steps to regulate neuromuscular imbalances and/or tensions. In this report, the research and clinical and scientific experience carried out and gained by a team of specialists (Gnathologist, Speech Therapist, Phoniatrist, Vocal Coach) and consolidated over countless years on many singers will be exposed and the functional characteristics of the BITE Lingual Ring will be illustrated REPAIR. This report therefore aims to open up and offer professionals who deal with functional imbalances of the cranio-cervical-mandibular district a new interesting opportunity to intercept and treat the problems of all vocal performers.
