After the break Devorah Schwartz-Arad, Maxillofacial Surgeon from Israel and professor at the University of Granada, Spain will lecture on “The Challenge: Severe Crest Atrophy: Rationale and Solutions” dedicated to situations in which edentulism can prevent ideal positioning of the implant, compromising the final esthetic result. She will demonstrate how the combination of several different augmentation and surgical techniques can allow for the correction of the alveolar ridge in 3D (ridge height, width and trajectory), which translates into better prosthetic and esthetic facial results. Closing the session Meizi Eliezer, co-author of the texts “Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone & Periodontal Regeneration” and “Understanding Platelet Rich Fibrin” will lecture on “The Use and Management of Soft Tissues in the Esthetic Zone” where she will explore the increase in the demand for dental implants as a reliable long-term option to replace missing teeth and techniques that can be used for peri-implant soft tissue augmentation as well as the role of cross-linked hyaluronic acid in certain procedures.
