Schiavoni Raffaele

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome in July 1973 with 110/110 cum laude.

In July 1976 he specialized at the La Sapienza University of Rome in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis with 70/70 cum laude discussing the thesis – supervisor Prof. Mario Martignoni – “Orthodontics and Gnathology”.

In October 1979 he specialized in Orthodontics at the University of Cagliari.

In the academic year 1982-83, at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of L’Aquila, he held a contract stipulated pursuant to articles 25 and 100, letter d), of the Presidential Decree of 11 July 1980, n. .382 for the teaching of “Orthodontics and Gnathology” in the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prostheses.

After three years of teaching at the University of L’Aquila, the offices that see him as Adjunct Professor in Orthodontics are Perugia, Rome “La Sapienza”, Ferrara, Siena, Rome-Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.

In June 1998 he obtained the “European Board of Orthodontists”.

In December 1999 he obtained the “Italian Board of Orthodontics”.

He was Cultural Councilor of S.I.D.O.

He was Vice-President of the “Italian Board of Orthodontics”.

He was President of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Academy of Orthodontics in 2010.

From 2013 to 2017 he was Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
