On Thursday afternoon, June 8th, during the 12th AIO International Congress, the joint Top Doctors-AIO Multidisciplinary Session will be held awarding 8 ADA CERP CE credits to participants. The Top Doctors’-AIO Session is a prelude to the 2023 Doctors’ World Gala that will be held following the AIO Inaugural Ceremony.

The Top Doctors-AIO Multidisciplinary Session will begin at 2:30 pm with a lecture by Luca Comuzzi, researcher in the field of implantology, on “New Therapeutic Strategies: Thanks to the Aid of Biconometrics and Dynamic Guided Surgery”. Following, at 3:00 pm, Claudia Cotca, professor at the Victor Babes University Dental School in Timisoara, Romania and expert delegate to the Standards Committee on Dental Products of the American Dental Association, will examine why protocols fail and discuss laser microsurgery as a solution of excellence with detailed clinical case descriptions.
After the break, Gurien Demiraqui with his lecture “The Baruti-Demiraqi approach. Surgery meets orthodontics” about the Corticotomy combined with BCGF and/or “Sticky Bone” or “Sticky Tooth” can be the goal to accelerate orthodontic movement.
Preetinder Singh will follow, to show us to deal with peri-implantitis without fears and with various treatiment. The purpose of this presentation is to provide a contemporary synopsis on the management of peri-implantitis with emphasis on explantation.
Closing the session Meizi Eliezer, co-author of the texts “Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone & Periodontal Regeneration” and “Understanding Platelet Rich Fibrin” will lecture on “The Use and Management of Soft Tissues in the Esthetic Zone” where she will explore the increase in the demand for dental implants as a reliable long-term option to replace missing teeth and techniques that can be used for peri-implant soft tissue augmentation as well as the role of cross-linked hyaluronic acid in certain procedures.
The exceptional concert of ANNA TIFU AND ROMEO SCACCIA will take place immediately following the Opening Ceremony of the AIO International Congress held on the evening of Thursday, June 8th.
An incredible talent with a sound so natural that one would think she and the violin, an 18th century Guadagnini, are one in the same! Meet Anna Tifu, a young and extraordinary violinist from Cagliari, Sardegna with an incredibly vast classical and medieval repertoire and so much more. Winner of the prestigious George Enescu international competition in Bucharest in 2007, she is considered one of today’s top violinists worldwide. From concerts of sacred music to international performances, playing with many of the worlds most prestigious orchestras, each of her performances is a new and unique musical experience.
Anna Tifu will perform together with another artist of worldwide fame, also from Sardinia, the pianist Romeo Scaccia. A concert performer, he is the author of soundtracks for commercials, documentaries and feature films as well as for the multimedia exhibition “150 Years of the Unification of Italy”. He has collaborated internationally at the highest levels and in 2010 was the only European artist hosted in the prestigious China Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo.
This is not the first time that Tifu and Scaccia have performed together. In 2021 they performed a memorable duet at the Andrea Parodi Awards with the instrumental execution of the Sardinian song, “No Potho Reposare” that paid homage to the unforgettable frontman of the Sardinian group Tazenda.
This exceptional concert will be followed by the presentation of the Top Doctors’ Lifetime Achievement Awards and Dinner held for award recipients together with their families and guests. Things don’t end here! Friday evening, June 9th, will host another spectacular event, the AIO International Congress Gala Dinner held at the “Le Dune” restaurant followed by an evening of fun and dance with the performance of the band NonSoulFunky. The group came together in Cagliari in 1996 and are guaranteed to entertain audiences of all ages with their extensive repertoire of top Italian and international hits from the seventies to present day.
