On Saturday, June 10th, lecturers in the Plenary Session will team up to discuss Esthetics. The Saturday Plenary Session terminates the Green Path in Conservative Dentistry Session and the Red Path in Periodontics and Prosthodontics awarding up to 20 ADA CERP credits.
The Saturday Plenary Session begins at 8:30am with lectures from two Keynote Speakers and opinion leaders in Italian dentistry, Francesco Mangani, Associate professor in the Dental School at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome and Lorenzo Vanini , chair of the course “Color in Reconstructive Dentistry” at the University of Chieti, Italy also visiting professor in Esthetic Restorative Dentistry in Marseille, France. Their lecture on “Direct and Indirect Conservative Restorations: 40 Years of Clinical Experience and Research”, will highlight how rigorous operational protocol is still the secret to obtaining successful and repetitive clinical results.
Following their lecture another internationally renowned Italian speaker, Marco Veneziani, Associate Professor in Periodontology at the University of Pavia, Italy will explore indications and protocol in the Injection Molding Technique, based on the use of flowable or thermoviscous composites to restore form, function and surface texture of the tooth by replicating models that have been created and defined in the laboratory with accurate waxing and tested with mock-ups.
Before the break Vincenzo Musella, Director of the Scientific Program of the Italian Dental Association,AIO, founder of the AIO Academy, Associate Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy and author of the book “Modern Aesthetic Dentistry Workflow from A to Z” (Quintessence ), will explore and discuss tooth preparations that are minimally invasive and less destructive than traditional tooth preparations.
Following the break, Martin Van Sontagh, from Austria and an expert in the use of highly esthetic composites in the anterior and posterior areas, will take the podium to illuminate attendees on how to transform a smile in a minimally invasive way.
Afterwards, Giancarlo Pongione, former Associate Professor in the Course in Dental Hygiene at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and Active Member in the Italian Society of Endodontics, will discuss a multidisciplinary approach to adhesive esthetic restorations.
