Dr.Ken Aschheim is a recognized authority on dental standards in the United States. He has represented the field of dentistry as a member, chairperson, and convener for organizations such as the American Dental Association’s Forensic Odontology Consensus Body, the AAFS Standards Board, and various ISO Working Groups. He has also served as the U.S. representative to Interpol’s DVI Sub-Working Group on Forensic Odontology, contributing to developing international standards in the field. He is the Vice Chairman of the American Dental Association Standards Board and the U.S. subject matter expert on AI standards. He has been instrumental in publishing numerous standards and technical reports covering areas including Dental Identification, Dental Age Assessment, and Dental Terminology. He also served as a subject matter expert for NIST, contributing significantly to developing the Type 12 Dental Data Set for the ANSI-NIST ITL Standard.
