Bussu Simona

Dr. Simona Bussu has been practicing Orthodontics and Pedodontics for 20 years and has her own dental studio in Cagliari.

She qualified as a dentist at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome where she obtained her dental degree and where she trained to become an orthodontic specialist.

She moved to Tucson (Arizona -USA) in order to perfect her knowledge of orthodontics, attending the Tweed Center and also visiting the most qualified reference centres for Gnathology and Interceptive Orthodontics.

She developed an interest in Digital Orthodontics and is certified to provide aligner therapies through the main clear aligner companies (Invisalign – Nuvola – Orthocaps).

In 2016 she attended the office of Dr. Daniel Rollet in France where she explored the myofunctional approach and devices further.

In 2019-2020 she gave a number of orthodontic lectures about adults and children displaying orally dysfunctional symptoms.

Since 2019 she has been lecturing as clinical and scientific speaker for Biomax SPA focusing her contributions on the functional design of clear aligners according to the systematic Nuvola OPSystem.

In July 2020 she lectured Orthodontics during the advanced course of “Pediatric Swallowing” for the Humanitas Consortium of Rome.
