THE “HEART” OF THE GREEN PATH IN THE AIO / ITALIAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
Thanks to the ability to integrate with dental substrate, it’s mechanical properties along with the possibility of limiting the removal of healthy dental tissue, adhesive materials of today are able to provide optimal and long-lasting results. These materials will be at the center of the “Green Path” during the 11th International Congress of the AIO / Italian Dental Association, “Focus on the Gender Shift in Dentistry: A New Perspective or a Future Challenge?” from June 9-11 in Chia, Sardinia in Italy: an appointment with renowned Italian and international speakers in a congress that, for the first time in the world of dentistry, will include gender equality in every session with an equal number of male and female speakers having an equal amount of speaking time. The “Green Path” will offer attendees 23 ADA CERP credits and will focus on the contrast between the apparent ease of the use of adhesives aided by digitization and the need to know and follow standardized protocols, as well as address different approaches in different clinical situations.
AIC / Italian Association of Conservative Dentistry Session
The morning session on Friday, June 10th will be organized by the AIC / Italian Academy of Conservative Dentistry. Paolo Ferrari from the University of Parma, Italy will open the session speaking on the importance of composites in treatment plans. Then Allegra Comba, researcher at the University of Bologna, Italy will talk about the closure of diastemas followed by Gabriella Romano (University of Foggia, Italy and the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy) lecturing on perio-restorative treatment in the anterior sectors and Stefano Patroni professor of Prosthetic Biomechanics and Implanto-prosthetics in Parma,Italy who will take participants on a journey “From analog to digital”.
Beginning at 9:00 the focus will be on esthetics from a digital and implantology viewpoint. Vincenzo Musella, the AIO National Cultural Secretary and international speaker will lecture on the digital workflow, followed by the Portuguese Biological Dentist Ana Paz from the White Clinic in Lisbon who will shed light on an accelerated process for attaining surgical success. Moving forward Nazariy Mykhaylyuk, from Ukrania and co-founder of MicroVision Group, will speak on teamwork and the digital flow for complex cases followed by Henriette Lerner from Germany, past president of the Digital Dental Society and member of the DGOI (German Society of Oral Implantology) Council of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies. After the break, Filippo Tomarelli from Italy and Treasurer of the Digital Implant Restorative Academy will talk about the transition from hopeless teeth to a full arch implant-supported rehabilitation. At 12:30 Eitan Mijiritsky, from Israel and visiting professor in the masters program in the Digital Dentistry program at the University of Pisa in Italy, will lecture on implant design and tissue phenotype in the esthetic area. Two speakers from the U.S. will conclude the session and close the congress. Claudia Cotca (Washington Institute of Dentistry & Toxicology) will explain why protocols can fail and Emily Letran (business strategist and author of 3 books, Innovative Women in Healthcare: Success With Exceptional Leadership, The Modern Woman: To Have It All Without Sacrifice’ , written with Sharon Lechter and “Doctor To Doctor, Success Strategies Elevating Your Business & Personal Life”) will explain how to manage the patient who asks for esthetic procedures.
