33 ADA CERP CREDITS IN ONE SHOT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 2022, 06 – 10/11

The theme of Gender Shift in Dentistry will permeate throughout the 11th International Congress of the Italian Dental Association. From Thursday June 9th to Saturday June 11th, 2022 in Chia on the island paradise in Sardinia in Italy, the stage will be set for top male and female speakers from around the world to take turns at the podium to explore one of the most important changes within the profession today, the gender shift, presenting not only the latest updates in dentistry but exploring if this new trend could be a new perspective or a future challenge for the profession.

In addition 33 Ada Cerp credits will be provided during different sessions.  Here we present the sessions of Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

 

Friday Afternoon: Plenary session. 15 Ada Cerp Credits with Saturday

At 2:00 pm Helena Chergava the esthetic dentist from the Ukraine, will talk about the gummy smile and the individualization of minimally invasive correction techniques. Peruvian Victor Guerrero (University of San Juan Bautista-Lima, Guadalajara and Davincis Dental Academy of San Josè, Costa Rica) will then lecture on The Restoration of Compromised Teeth with the Use of the Rubber Dam and Modified Clasps. At 3 pm Paolo Gaetano and Salvatore Scolavino, authors of the book Direct Restorations in the Posterior Sectors, will talk on Esthetic Adhesive Restorations and their Relative Levels of Clinical Reliability. At 4 pm Hande Sar Sancakli, Turkish and FDI Regional Continuing Education Director in Europe, will discuss Gender Differences in Esthetic Perspectives and Results. Closing the session will be the Ines Barbosa, from the Costa da Caparica University in Portugal speaking on Long Lasting Adhesion.

 

Saturday morning: Plenary session. 15 Ada Cerp Credits with Friday

Beginning at 9:00 the focus will be on esthetics from a digital and implantology viewpoint. Vincenzo Musella, the AIO National Cultural Secretary and international speaker will lecture on the digital workflow, followed by the Portuguese Biological Dentist Ana Paz from the White Clinic in Lisbon who will shed light on an accelerated process for attaining surgical success. Moving forward Nazariy Mykhaylyuk, from Ukrania and co-founder of MicroVision Group, will speak on teamwork and the digital flow for complex cases followed by Henriette Lerner from Germany, past president of the Digital Dental Society and member of the DGOI (German Society of Oral Implantology) Council of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies. After the break, Filippo Tomarelli from Italy and Treasurer of the Digital Implant Restorative Academy will talk about the transition from hopeless teeth to a full arch implant-supported rehabilitation. At 12:30 Eitan Mijiritsky, from Israel and visiting professor in the masters program in the Digital Dentistry program at the University of Pisa in Italy, will lecture on implant design and tissue phenotype in the esthetic area. Two speakers from the U.S. will conclude the session and close the congress. Claudia Cotca (Washington Institute of Dentistry & Toxicology) will explain why protocols can fail and Emily Letran (business strategist and author of 3 books, Innovative Women in Healthcare: Success With Exceptional Leadership, The Modern Woman: To Have It All Without Sacrifice’ , written with Sharon Lechter and “Doctor To Doctor, Success Strategies Elevating Your Business & Personal Life”) will explain how to manage the patient who asks for esthetic procedures.

On Saturday, June 11th beginning at 8:30 am the session dedicated to Orthodontics (15 Ada Cerp Credits) gets off to a start with world-renowned speakers. Renato Cocconi, from Milan, Italy, keynote speaker in major international meetings and conferences in orthodontics, opens the day with his lecture, From Complete Diagnosis to Treatment Planning: A Digital Journey, followed by Tali Chackartchi from Israel and Past President of the Israeli Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration, who will speak on Orthodontic Treatments in the Presence of Periodontal Disease. Following a break Anna Mariniello, from Naples, Italy and author of An Atlas of Lingual Orthodontics Without Brackets, will lecture on The Management of Edentulous Spaces in Invisible Fixed Therapies Without Brackets. Continuing will be Cesare Luzi from Rome, associate professor at the University of Ferrara and the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy with his talk on Prosthetically Guided Orthodontics and Inter-Disciplinary Strategies to Optimize the Final Result. Simona Bussù, from Sardegna, Italy, who has practiced pediatric dentistry and orthodontics for 20 years, will explore The Functional Design of Transparent Aligners: Op-System. The session will end with Bedros Yavru-Sakuk, from the U.S.A., former Clinical Associate at New York Universitty. lecturing on The Importance of Myofunctional Therapy.

 

Hygienists – Saturday morning from 9:00 – 12:00 two women and two men will share the podium focusing on communication as a therapeutic instrument. (8 Ada Cerp Credits).

Annamaria Genovesi past president of the Italian Dental Hygienists Association (AIDI), the Italian Society of Oral Hygiene Sciences (SISIO) and Director of the 1st level of the Masters Program at the Unicamillus University in non-surgical periodontal therapy together with Marzia Segù, Professor in Dental Hygiene Sciences and Techniques  in the course for dental hygienists at the Universities of Genoa and Pavia and President of the Italian Society of Dentistry in Sleep Medicine (SIMSO) will be joined by Simone Marconcini, Director of the Masters Program in Implantology at the UniCamillus University and professor at the University of Pisa along with Michele Micheletti, author of the book “Evolution of Public Speaking and Classification of the Effective Speaker “ will discuss how the effectiveness of  communication is important in acceptance by the patient and how assertiveness can act on three levels at the same time: emotional, cognitive and behavioral.

From 12.00 to 13.00 Consuelo Sanavia, contract professor in Oral Hygiene Techniques and Sciences and tutor Dental Hygiene program at the University of Genoa will lecture on tele-dentistry in dental hygiene as a result of changes in clinical practice due to the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic.

Maria Gianna Nardi will close the session, Founder and Past President of the AIDI Italian Dental Hygienists Association, National and International Speaker will speak about oral health: personalized prevention protocols.

Official Language

The official language of the congress is English. Simultaneous translation into English will be provided for those lectures not in English.
